Council position #3 is up for election.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions of admission<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To run as a candidate, a person must be entitled to be registered on the municipality’s voters list and have resided in the municipality, continuously or not, for at least 12 months on September 1 of the calendar year in which the general election is to be held or, in the case of a by-election, for at least 12 months on the date of publication of the notice of the election<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The notice of election for Position #3 is January 20, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to become a candidate<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Nomination forms are available from the municipal returning office or online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the application is submitted, there will be a mandatory information meeting for applicants and their official agent.\u00a0 The 2-hour meeting will be held during the week of February 6 or 13, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GROUPING PERMITTED<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For municipalities with a population of less than 5,000, candidates may form teams recognized by the electoral officer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Period for Filing Nomination Papers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The period during which a person may file his or her completed nomination papers with the appropriate documents in the office of the returning officer begins on the 44th day (January 23, 2023) and ends at 4:30 p.m. on the 30th day before the day fixed for voting (February 3, 2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday, JANUARY 24, 2023: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
