Of course, security measures prescribed by the Municipality apply to boating. Therefore, during high season a patrol boat has a mandate to enforce, among other things:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Speed limits (10 km\/h up to 100 m from the shore and 70 km\/h in the centre of the lake)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Safety equipment<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<a title=\"Marina and Public Wharf\" href=\"http:\/\/www.northhatley.org\/community\/arts-and-culture\/marina-public-wharf\/\">Compulsory stickers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police officers pay particular attention to:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0compulsory use of a life jacket for everyone on board (fine of $200 plus administrative charges)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0compulsory supervision during an activity with towable devices such as water skiing, water tubes and wakeboarding (fine of $250 plus administrative charges)<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0dangerous drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Public Security\" href=\"http:\/\/www.northhatley.org\/municipality\/public-security\/\">Back to the Public Security page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Personal, Traffic &amp;
