North Hatley is currently on standby with regards to the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation

In addition to the measures that have been announced by the government of Québec, the municipality of the Village of North Hatley will be on « standby » with regards to the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation.  The mayor and administration are in constant communication with the civil security department in order to be ready to put any required measures in place.

As a part of these measures of prevention, in order to avoid propagation of the virus, the municipality will therefore close access to the community centre and the tourist information centre for an indefinite period of time.

We would remind citizens about the recommendation to exercise adequate hygienic practices such as frequent hand washing and coughing into the inner sleeve of the elbow.

Centres for screening will be open from March 14th at the CIUSSS de l’Estrie CHUS – Hôtel Dieu in Sherbrooke and at the Hospital Centre in Granby.

Symptoms of the Coronavirus are the following :

-fever

-cough

-difficulty breathing

-signs and symptoms of pneumonia
